LESTER WINS AUSSIE PRO TOUR TITLE for 4th time!





The Pro Men’s final was won by Jones Russell from Port Macquarie with Andrew Lester (Cronulla) second. Both of these riders were in the race for the Rebel Sport Pro Tour Championship by the second placing was enough to secure Lester his 4th championship of his illustrious career.

“I was the youngest winner of the tour in 1998 (at 18 years old) and now the oldest at 31” said Lester.

“I never expected this at this stage of my career” he added.

EDDIE SOLOMON - NEW JERSEY MEMORIAL PADDLE OUT

New Jersey bodyboarders gathered yesterday morning at Jenks for a memorial paddle out for Eddie. We all shared our favorite Eddie moments. Our condolences to the Solomon Family.

The winds lifted our flowers into the ocean for Eddie.




Coming off the jetty, I witnessed a random yellow balloon floating in the ocean which then got caught by a wave from the outside and went all the way to the beach. It was quite a touching moment.
Love you brother. Rest In Peace.

EDDIE SOLOMON - RIP
1978-2011

Yesterday was a really hard day for us all. Eddie fought cancer really hard and never gave up. I've known Eddie since we were teenagers and remained good friends throughout the years. We both love bodyboarding and started our companies around the same time. He's been an inspiration to me and truly a brother. I'm really gonna miss him and his huhoys, buzz-on stories, and talking shit. :)
We're organizing a memorial paddle out for him tomorrow morning at Jenks in New Jersey. Show up and pay your respects to an awesome guy.

SAVOJI: How was your take on this swell?

SEBASTIAN: Big and nasty! Saw lots of facials out there.. motivated me to go.

SEBASTIAN: Was that lizard passion in the air this last swell?

SAVOJI: Hell yeah fool, it's always in the air!!! Satan was also involved.

SAVOJI: What did you think of the land of lizard?

SEBASTIAN: Lots of passion in it that’s for sure, Respect the Lizard! 

SAVOJI: Explain to me your idea of how to ride massive wedge.

SEBASTIAN: My idea on riding massive wedge is to just be calm at any situation out there. That’s key!



Savoji.


SEBASTIAN: What were your feelings out in the water when you first paddled out?

SAVOJI: Lets fucking do this! Hail Satan!

SEBASTIAN: I liked that focus you had going during these few days of the early season Wedge swell. No booze, just kept it  very classy, early sleep. What made you do this?

SAVOJI: Sometimes you just got to focus on doing what you do best. I party a lot but when Wedge is massive I need full focus. Beers after though. Always fool!



Sebastian goes on anything when Savoji says "GO". Good boy.


SAVOJI: Since you been cruising with me has Satan gotten to you yet?

SEBASTIAN: Yes! Bad influence this lizard is on me haha. I try to tell myself Satan doesn't exist, but he lets the passion out a little to next level to handle sometimes.

SAVOJI: How come you didn't spade any babes on the beach?

SEBASTIAN: Surfed, then bitches.

SEBASTIAN: Feelings on the crowd including beach crowd?

SAVOJI: Hated both crowds...fuckin' Marks everywhere...I say like a thousand Marky Marks. Water crowd was lame at times. People just need to fuckin' chill and know their rank in that lineup. Move out of the way fools!

SEBASTIAN: What do you think about this big wave photo contest at the wedge?

SAVOJI: The money is as good as mine WUTTTTTT ERPZZZZ!!!

BIG-WAVE LEGENDS - R.I.P. SION MILOSKY

We are deeply saddened to learn that big wave Hawaiian legend Sion Milosky passed away at Mavericks yesterday after a wipeout and two-wave hold down. He leaves behind a wife and two daughters. Our deepest condolences to his family.

Congrats to new Plastic People team rider Andrew Lester winning the Rebel Sport Pro at Dbah over the weekend. After a brief hiatus, Lester is back and tearing shit apart once again. One of the most respected talents Australia has ever seen, Lester continues to turn heads and take down the country's best on the Aussie Tour. Lester took down Mitch Rawlins, Michael Novy, and Nathan Branch in the stacked Open Pro final. Congrats Andrew!!!
